How to Replace the Invisible Fence Collar Batteries?

Taking proper measures for the safety of your pet is one way of showing your love for it. Many refrain from the idea of containing pets within fences interpreting the idea as denying freedom to it. But just think who is at a greater loss when the pet runs away and gets hit by a vehicle or something? Who is at a problem when your pet ends up threatening or causing any damage to people nearby or others’ pet? This mandates the need for containing pets within fences. Here is a way you can do it very kindly.

Invisible fence is the best way you can contain your pets. An electric wire running across the fence sends a correction to the pet every time it tries to run out of it. The entire system consists of a transmitter, boundary wire and the collar which are in other words invisible fence collar batteries. An alarm is generated as the pet approaches the electric fence. The sound of the alarm increases as the animal gets more and closer to the fence. Thus you can reach to the place once you hear some extreme sound.

Sometimes you would like to grow more than a pet and you would want them to be friendly with each other. You can contain all of them within the same invisible fence. You can also contain your pet dog with its small ones in the same fence. Here is when the invisible fence collar batteries become an integral part. The collars are used to distinguish the correction that is rendered on the dog or the animal as it approaches the fence. If the invisible fence collar batteries are not functioning properly, your dog would have well escaped the fence at any chance. Thus it is important that you understand the significance, working, installation and replacement of the collar batteries for proper safety of your pet.

The average time that these invisible fence collar batteries last is about three to six months. This however largely depends on how often your dog tries to trespass the boundary line. However you need not have to keep worrying as to when the battery will drain away and if your pet will run away. There is often an indicator light on the invisible fence collar batteries that will let you know if the battery is dead.

When you replace the invisible fence collar batteries, make sure you do it indoor so that the pet doesn’t run away. Remove the collar from the dog as gently as you can and just turn it off. Unlock the screws on the battery holder and replace the older ones with the new ones.

Remember that the positive of the battery is along the side of the holder that carries a plus sign. Sometime there may be a lock bar which you may have to slide in order to replace the batteries. Fit the collar back onto the pet’s neck properly and check the working once before you let the dog wander freely within the fence.
